Including shipping both ways (typically 2–3 business days each direction within Western Canada, 3–5 days from Eastern Canada), total downtime averages 5–10 business days. If your vehicle is still drivable without the module, you may continue using it during this period — depending on the module type.

No. Because we repair your original module rather than replacing it, all factory calibration data, VIN programming, and sensor configurations are preserved. In most cases, you simply reinstall the module and clear the codes. Some vehicles may require a brief re-initialization procedure that your mechanic or even an OBD2 scanner can perform.

If we determine during diagnosis that your module has catastrophic damage beyond repair — for example, severe physical impact or extensive board-level corrosion — we will contact you before any charges. We will return your module and discuss alternative options, including sourcing and programming a replacement unit.

Yes. All mail-in repairs receive the same warranty as in-shop repairs. If the repaired component fails within the warranty period under normal operating conditions, ship it back to us and we will repair it again at no cost.

If you are comfortable working on your vehicle, most modules can be removed with basic tools — usually a socket set and trim removal tools. We can point you to removal guides for your specific vehicle. If you prefer, your local mechanic or auto shop can remove and reinstall the module while we handle the repair.
