Ship Your Module
Remove the module from your vehicle (or have your local shop do it) and ship it to our Calgary facility using any tracked shipping service — Canada Post, Purolator, UPS, or FedEx. Pack it securely in anti-static wrap with padding. Include your name, phone number.
Diagnosis & Repair
Once we receive your module, our technicians perform a full diagnostic evaluation — visual inspection under magnification, bench testing of power supply rails, communication line verification, and component-level fault tracing. We will contact you with findings and confirm the repair scope before any work begins. Most repairs are completed within 24–72 hours.
Tested & Shipped Back
After repair, every module goes through a full functional test cycle on our bench rig — power-up, communication verification, output driver testing, and simulated load conditions. We ship your repaired module back via tracked courier. Total turnaround including shipping: typically 5–7 business days.
Modules
Modules We Repair by Mail
We repair all major automotive electronic control modules at the board level. If it has a circuit board, we can likely fix it.
ECU / PCM — Engine Control Module
The brain of your engine. Controls fuel injection, ignition timing, emissions systems, idle speed, and on-board diagnostics. Common failures: no-start conditions, limp mode, persistent check engine lights, communication faults.
ABS / EBCM — Anti-Lock Brake Module
Controls your anti-lock braking, traction control, and stability systems. Common failures: ABS warning light, pump motor relay burnout, pressure sensor drift, loss of communication.
BCM — Body Control Module
Manages your vehicle's electrical accessories — door locks, windows, lighting, wipers, security system, and key fob communication. Common failures: multiple electrical systems failing simultaneously, immobilizer lockout, erratic wiper/light behavior.
TCM — Transmission Control Module
Controls automatic transmission shift points, torque converter lockup, and adaptive learning. Common failures: limp mode, harsh or delayed shifting, no-shift conditions, transmission fault codes.
FRM — Footwell Module (BMW / Mini)
Controls exterior and interior lighting, power windows, turn signals, and central locking on BMW and Mini vehicles. Common failures: headlights stuck on, windows inoperative, no diagnostic communication.
TIPM — Totally Integrated Power Module
Combines fuse box, relay center, and body controller into one unit. Common failures: fuel pump relay failure, headlight/wiper malfunctions, no-start conditions.

FAQ'S
Mail-In Service Questions
Everything you need to know about shipping your module for repair.

How do I remove my module from the vehicle?
If you are comfortable working on your vehicle, most modules can be removed with basic tools — usually a socket set and trim removal tools. We can point you to removal guides for your specific vehicle. If you prefer, your local mechanic or auto shop can remove and reinstall the module while we handle the repair.
How long will my vehicle be off the road?
From the day we receive your module, most repairs are completed within 24–72 hours. Including shipping both ways (typically 2–3 business days each direction within Western Canada, 3–5 days from Eastern Canada), total downtime averages 5–10 business days. If your vehicle is still drivable without the module, you may continue using it during this period — depending on the module type.
What if my module is not repairable?
If we determine during diagnosis that your module has catastrophic damage beyond repair — for example, severe physical impact or extensive board-level corrosion — we will contact you before any charges. We will return your module and discuss alternative options, including sourcing and programming a replacement unit.
Do I need to send the whole unit (e.g., ABS module + hydraulic pump)?
For most modules, we only need the electronic control unit — the circuit board assembly — not the entire mechanical unit. For ABS modules, we need the electronic module that bolts onto the hydraulic block, but not the hydraulic block itself. We will confirm exactly what to send when you get your quote.
Is my module covered by warranty if I ship it in?
Yes. All mail-in repairs receive the same warranty as in-shop repairs. If the repaired component fails within the warranty period under normal operating conditions, ship it back to us and we will repair it again at no cost.
Can you repair modules from commercial trucks and heavy equipment?
Yes. We regularly repair modules from commercial trucks (Freightliner, Kenworth, International, Mack), agricultural equipment (Case, John Deere), and industrial machinery. Mail-in is often the most practical option for heavy equipment since the vehicle cannot easily be brought to a shop.
